Regular oil changes are the first step to ensuring the health and longevity of your BMW engine. At Level 30, we only use BMW certified full synthetic oils and lubricants in your BMW, as well as OEM oil filters. In most cases, our oil brand of choice is Liquimoly. Liquimoly is a German company that has some of the highest standards in the business for quality and the performance of their products.
How often should I change my oil?
Although BMW is now recommending oil changes at 7500-10,000 miles, we generally recommend getting your oil changed every 5000 miles. Remember, once your vehicle is out of warranty, the manufactures would rather sell you a new one then keep your old one on the road. Making sure you keep your car healthy for years to come is our business- some of our clients have over 300,000 miles on their BMWs!
Oil Testing
Some high performance BMW engines require regular servicing of the engine rod bearings. One of the ways to determine if your engine is due for rod bearing service is by sending out a sample of your oil to a lab to be tested. We offer this service to our customers when appropriate to ensure that we catch any issues before they become bigger problems
